SMELL THE RAINBOW! We kicked off spring with rainbows! If you were to walk into our classroom last week you would have been greeted with a lovely aroma of fruit smells. We created a rainbow using the powder form of jello. Each arc of the rainbow was made with different flavors of jello. Students were taught the order of the colors for a rainbow. Unfortunately time did not allow for us to make jello to snack on...now I owe them a jello party! :)
I am happy to announce all 26 of my kiddos have successfully typed their very own autobiographies! Our book is in the process of being bound and ready for use in our classroom. Your child will be bringing home a copy to keep as well. Starting next week we will begin Skyping with other classrooms and staff members to share of life stories!

In Science we have been investigating different rocks. On the first day we worked with three different kinds: Tuff, Basalt and Scoria. The scoria rocks are red in color. I shared with the students that when I was younger my Grandma had these rocks at her house and we would use them as sidewalk chalk. They didn't believe me so we took a trip to the playground to try it out! :)
